Volleyball is a popular sport where teams separated by a high net hit a ball back and forth between the teams.
Every team is allowed three hits to get the ball over the net to the other half.
A point is scored if the ball hits the opponents' court or the opponents commit a fault.
The rules for the ball used in volleyball is that it shall has a circumference of 65 to 67 cm (25.5" to 27"),the weight of the ball shall be 260 to 280 grams (9 to 10 ounces), the inside pressure of the ball should be 0.30 to 0.325 kg/cm2 (4.3 to 4.6 lbs./sq. inch).

The sand court is 60' by 30' (18.288m x 9.144m).The free zone surrounds the court with a recommended minimum width of 2 m (6'6").
The playing space is free from any obstructions to a recommended height of 7 m (23') from the playing surface.
