Baseball is a sport quiet similar to cricket, it is played between two teams each of nine players. One team bats while the other fields.

To win the game the team shall make more runs then the opponent team. The innings of a team is considered to be over when 3 of its players are out. In a game such 9 innings are played.

The field on which baseball is played is a diamond shaped field that has a square infield of 90feets,which has a base at every corner. The pitcher who stands on the pitcher's mound, and throws the ball to the batter standing at the home plate.

The batter attempts to hit the ball and after hitting the ball, the batter runs to the first base, then on to second, third and home, or as many as he can reach before the fielder returns the ball. If the batter reaches all bases and back home, he scores a run.

If he reaches a base, and cannot continue as the ball has been returned, he can safely stay at the base and continue his run when the next batter comes to bat. In baseball, a home run is a base hit in which the batter is able to circle all the bases, ending at home plate and scoring a run, with no errors on the play that result in the batter achieving extra bases.

Home runs are among the most popular aspects of baseball, and the biggest stars are often the players who hit the most of them.
